Crop, rotate and flip images privately

Trim a photo, make a square profile image or straighten a sideways picture. Drag the crop handles, choose a shape or use the rotation and flip controls, then download the result. The image stays in your browser and the crop uses original image pixels, not the size of the preview on your screen.

Common questions

How do I crop an image?

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image, then drag the corners to select the area you want to keep. Move the selection to adjust its position, or choose a shape such as Square or Widescreen. Download image saves the selected area. Reset restores the full image and removes your rotation and flips.

Can I crop a square or portrait image?

Yes. Crop shape includes square, landscape, portrait, photo, widescreen and story proportions. The crop starts centered and can be moved or resized. Output dimensions are rounded to whole image pixels. Rotating also rotates the selected area and its proportions, so the part you selected is preserved.

Will cropping reduce image quality?

The download uses the selected pixels at their original resolution; it is not enlarged to match the preview. PNG keeps transparency and is useful for sharp graphics. If the full image and format are unchanged and no rotation or flip is applied, the download preserves the original file exactly, including its metadata and trailing data. Cropped, rotated, flipped or converted JPG and WebP downloads are re-encoded at high quality and may change fine detail or file size. Transparent areas become white when saving as JPG. This is not an HDR or professional color-profile preservation workflow.

Which files can I crop?

Choose one still JPG, PNG or WebP image at a time, up to 20 MB, 50 megapixels and 16,383 pixels per side. Camera orientation is applied before editing. Animated images, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, SVG and RAW are not supported. If a large image cannot be saved on your device, try a smaller crop or use the image compressor to resize it first.

Are my photos uploaded or saved?

No. Cropping and downloads are processed on your device. Files are not uploaded or saved by Tulo, and leaving the tool clears the image. Unchanged downloads preserve the original file, including metadata. Cropped, rotated, flipped or converted downloads create a new image and remove original location and camera metadata. Save the result before leaving or refreshing the page.

Can I crop with a keyboard or phone?

Yes. Drag the crop handles on a touch screen. With a keyboard, focus a crop handle and use the arrow keys to resize; focus the selection and use arrow keys to move it. Shift makes larger adjustments. Rotation, flip and download controls are also keyboard accessible.
